We’re Alex and Chris, the minds behind Ambijus.

Ambijus was born out of our shared passion to explore exciting non-alcoholic options that can rival wine in terms of depth and experience. Both of us have chosen to eliminate alcohol from our lives, yet we still yearn to enjoy the intricate and engaging flavors that a great beverage can bring. Especially together with food and friends.

Stepping away from alcohol, we realized the limited scope of quality non-alcoholic offerings, particularly within the wine segment. Ambijus was created as our response to this challenge, with a clear vision: To provide an alternative that not only matches, but exceeds the expectations of even the most discerning palates.

Our first experiment: Fermenting spruce needles.

Ambijus is not just a substitute for wine; it is its own category of liquids crafted from scratch with carefully selected ingredients native to our beautiful homeland, Norway.

Drawing inspiration from the rich nature surrounding us, our drinks are a loving result of a lot of experimenting and research. During this process we met inspiring nordic chefs and sommeliers which also reconnected us with modern Scandinavian cuisine through foraging and fermentation.

Our focus is on complexity, unique compositions and that the drinks should go well with various dishes. Fruit, tannins, funk and spices. 100% flavor, <0,5% alcohol.
