Ambijus is a range of non-alcoholic drinks that aims to define a new category of an alternatives to wine that gives people a bigger selection and an experience that doesn’t compromise on flavour and pleasure.
We aimed to bridge the gap between those who don’t drink alcohol and those who are into discovering new flavours. We wanted to explore the No or Low Alcohol category in a novel way, creating an intriguing look that takes away the focus of not drinking alcohol, while also offering a complex flavour experience.
Ambijus is not wine – it has no appellation, no terroir. In our case, the lab is our terroir. That’s where we explore flavors, interpreting the character of ingredients and combining them is new ways.
Ambijus was founded by Christian & Alex, brothers who from a young age have been inspired by the nature of their home country Norway. In 2015 they set out on an adventure to launch Norway's’ first Premium No & Low distribution agency LESKE.
During this process they got to meet inspiring nordics chefs & sommeliers and reconnected with modern Scandinavian cuisine through foraging and fermentation. They started to understand that there was something missing within the non-alc wine occasion and they set out to redefine the category.
From what started as fermented spruce tips in their garage has now become a full time passion project involving skilled food scientists and a dedicated lab space.
Ambijus was born.
